I am currently part of this incredible project that is a a non-profit organisation dedicated to serving our community. NouYou was established in 2022 and is part of the national wellbeing social prescribing initiative. Founded by Sara Williams, who has brought together a team of committed professionals. The primary goal is to provide support to residents in Wirral and the surrounding areas through non-medical health and wellbeing services.
The services specifically target individuals who may frequently rely on primary NHS services, those at risk of mental or physical health crises, and individuals who have been socially prescribed a community referral through NHS GPs and other healthcare professionals. NouYou strive to assist these individuals in improving their overall health and wellbeing.By offering these services, the aim is to make a positive impact on the lives of the people in our community, promoting wellness and enhancing the overall quality of life.
The core of NouYou is running 6-week programs take place every Tuesday from 10am to 2pm at the following address:NouYou CIC 583 Borough Road Birkenhead CH42 0HD.
These programs are designed to kick-start peoples healing journey, and NouYou believe in the power of small groups to ensure that everyone's voice can be heard. The aim is to create a context where people can engage in dialogue, express their perspectives, and feel empowered to contribute in a meaningful way.
During the programs, people are introduced to the concepts of energy work and holistic alternative practices. With the intention to provide people with tools and knowledge that will support and empower themselves on their self-healing journey. The programs encompass a range of therapies, educational sessions, and opportunities for self-reflection. The programs are offered free of charge.
This project aligns with Primal Stones values of community and empowering people. I currently run the week one session which is an introduction to energy healing and reiki finishing off with a sound healing.
